Ömer Abed Han, one of Istanbul’s largest commercial hans in the early 20th century, was commissioned in 1909 by İzzet Holo Paşa1, a Palace Secretary to Sultan Abdülhamid II, and designed by the French-born Levantine architect A. Vallauri. Added to the Salt Research digital collections, the archive brings together ledgers recording Ömer Abed Han’s income and expenses, tenants, rental amounts, payment terms, and dates, along with various documents from the Abed and Sarıca families.
