The Keskin Color Postcard Collection is now accessible on the Suna Kıraç Library Digital Collections page!
Alongside the collection’s launch, Reşit Keskin and Berkin Keskin will participate in a talk titled “The Story of Postcards from Yesterday to Today!” at ANAMED on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 18:00. Nilay Örnek will moderate.
The Keskin Color Postcard Collection, which comprises approximately 30,000 archival items and currently provides digital access to nearly 6,000 postcards, includes photographs taken in the 1950s by brothers Naci Keskin and Abdullah Keskin, the company’s founders, as well as postcards produced by the company from 1962 to the late 1990s and the corresponding slides. Featuring cityscapes, architectural views, scenes of people, tourist attractions, archaeological sites, and historic monuments from cities across Turkey, the collection is a valuable resource on Turkey’s visual memory from 1950 to 2000.
