Led by the Salt Research team, the workshop takes the question, “How is an archive created?” as its starting point and focuses on amateur archiving. Drawing on practices at Salt Research, it will open the concept of the archive to discussion and cover types of records and sources; methods of preservation and storage using resources available to individuals; and the stages of digitization, classification, description, and providing access.
The workshop will be held in Turkish. Participation is free and limited to 20 people. To register, complete the application form by Monday, February 26. Applications will be finalized on Tuesday, February 27, and participants will be notified by email.
