Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) announced on September 8, 2026, the addition of three new guides to the Community Archives Digital Preservation Toolkit.
The guides address preparation for digitization projects and equipment selection, the association of digital copies with catalog records, and the risks to consider when transferring collection information to artificial intelligence tools.
Developed with feedback from community archives, these resources provide actionable steps for small organizations with limited time and expertise to preserve their digital collections.
