The archive of educator, architect, and bureaucrat Ali Mukbil Gökdoğan (1909-1992), consisting of approximately 1,200 records related to Gökdoğan’s personal and professional life, was made accessible at Salt Research on October 2, #WorldArchitectureDay.
Designed by the Ali Mukbil Gökdoğan Architecture Workshop in the late 1970s and built in Mecidiyeköy, Şişli Abide Sitesi was one of the area’s first multistory residential developments. The building has undergone many architectural alterations since its construction and may now be regarded as a precursor to the residential developments around it.
